UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
The structures of our curricula are market driven. Currently there is a big demand of geoscientists in the mineral-mining and exploration industries in the region. As a result the undergraduate B.Sc. (Geology), traditionally offered for 3 years, was extended to 4 years in the last decade to accommodate the desired skills by the market. Additionally, three other degree programs namely B.Sc. (with Geology), B.Sc. (Geophysics) and BSc (Geology and Geothermal Resources) were introduced.
Petroleum geology is a branch of earth science that focuses on the origin, distribution, exploration, development and production of petroleum (oil and natural gas) resources. It encompasses the study of:
