About the University of Dar es Salaam Museum

The University of Dar es Salaam Museum is placed on the sprawling hills on Western side of Dar es Salaam city. The museum trail consists of two beautiful museum locations and a botanical garden.

Opening Time


Mon – Fri 9 00am – 4 00pm


Sat & Public Holidays 10 00am – 2 00am (Booking is required)

The tours of the botanical garden are arranged through booking. Currently, the botanical garden is closed to the public until 30th November 2024.


The Zoology Museum is open only by booking. These requests are accepted during the following times: Mon – Fri 10 00am – 4 00pm
