Ongoing Research Projects
Amongst their other responsibilities, members of staff of University of Dar es Salaam School of Law conduct research projects and consultancies relevant to the legal profession in particular, and Tanzania societies in general. These projects attempt to answer fundamental legal questions which need answers that have been scientifically investigated. Our staff projects are grounded in strong empirical research to provide answers that are relevant to Tanzanian societies.
Generally, the School's research agenda focuses on the following objectives;
- To provide legal knowledge and awareness on various economic, social, and political issues
- To investigate pertinent issues that demand immediate legal solutions
- To investigate longtime social problems that demand permanent legal solution
- To develop scientific legal and institutional reforms for a better administration of justice and promotion of development activities
